As we enter the 100th year of Indian cinema, it’s time to applaud the best in the business of Bollywood! The 3rd Z ETC Bollywood Business Awards are back to recognize the outstanding films of the year 2012 at the Box Office. Founded two years ago, the Z ETC Bollywood Business Awards is the country’s only awards show that celebrates and recognizes the efforts of marketers, distributors, production houses and exhibitors who contribute towards a film’s incredible collections at the Box Office along with the actors and directors.

The Z ETC Bollywood Business Awards are held in high esteem in the industry because they acknowledge the landmark movies of the year which have set the cash registers ringing at the box-office. The winners represent the best work within the industry and are evaluated on the basis of revenues. These Awards take into consideration the economic quotient as a cornerstone for mapping the success of a film. The year 2012 has been very crucial for the film industry in terms of trade figures. The number of films released in 2012 are 126. Around 8 more films are expected to release in December. Amongst the highest grossers were movies like Agneepath, Housefull 2, Bol Bachan , Rowdy Rathore, Barfi and Jab Tak Hai Jaan whereas Ek Tha Tiger touched a massive 199 Crore mark.

What also sets Z ETC Bollywood Awards apart from other Awards ceremony are categories like best Film Marketing, Distribution and Promotion, Best Cinema chain of the year, Highest single day collection, Most profitable Actor/Director. Also keeping in mind the changing trends of the industry, new categories such as Most Popular Trailer, Most Profitable Debut Male/Female, Best Music Company of the Year and Most Successful Music Director etc have been included this year. Though it’s just two year old, this initiative has generated immense interest and is very well regarded by the industrywallah’s as well as common people alike.

ETC launches the campaign with an Innovative and clutter breaking theme revolving around the awards with nominees in caricature format which catches the immediate attention of the audience. The channel is executing an extensive marketing campaign to create a buzz around the awards with heavy emphasis on theatre and online. As part of the online marketing campaign, the channel has undertaken different activities on the social media space, the communication would be done in a unique way generating attention and user engagement. The Outdoor campaign has been launched with an objective to enhance the brand image and increase awareness about the USP of the awards which is their credibility as they are based purely on figures .The outdoor campaign is being carried out in a heavy manner with 35+ hoarding all across Mumbai in association with Bright Outdoor media.ETC has also gone all out with theatre slides in 500+ screens across India with Khushi Advertising as the entertainment partner. Cinemax is the venue partner, in.com is the online partner and savaan.com has come on board as the online music partner for the awards.The campaign kickstarted with branding in media buying & media planning agencies like Madisson, Starcom, Group M, ZO and Zenith on 17th December.
