Guidance Rating Points are indicators of a program’s ‘potential’ to do well in getting viewer interest and thereby viewership. The ratings are generated for thousands of future programs across hundreds of Indian TV channels.

How are Guidance Ratings assigned?
Guidance Ratings are generated for each and every program in the future from a proprietary algorithm developed by What’s-On-India. The algorithm takes into account a series of factors including past popularity, current context and future intention. Besides these the algorithm takes into account programs that are high in ‘Buzz Quotient’ by listening into social network conversations.

Why do the Guidance Ratings have BETA written in its name?
